A common and well known problem in apartment buildings is the inconsistency of water flow at certain times of the day or week. It is a routine occurrence in an apartment complex that most inhabitants get up in the morning and head for the shower.
What happens when a high number of occupants have turned the hot water on to full blast? Invariably, the apartments that are closer to the source of the hot water will get blasted with scolding hot water while the units further out will be lucky to experience a barely warm shower or worse, a very cold awakening experience!
This situation can be remedied relatively easily and inexpensively by contacting automatic balancing valve suppliers to find the automatic control valves that fit your needs. These valves come in different sizes, ½” to 2” in copper and 2.5” to 10” in steel, to accommodate most if not all standard plumbing used in commercial and residential buildings. Their main function is to regulate the flow of water independently of the pressure conditions in the system. This is a valuable tool to solve an all too common problem that is wide spread across the country.
In smaller buildings, such as private homes, a manual valve system may be the best option as it will be more cost-effective and sufficient to regulate the smaller water system. Manual control valve suppliers offer combination ball valve unions that provide highly accurate readings.
This is a very simple solution. I wonder why so many apartment buildings haven't contacted a automatic balancing valve supplier yet.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Automatic balancing vales are a great solution!
